In honor of our 50th anniversary this year we’ve rounded up 50 fun facts about Ben’s you may or may not know! Stay tuned each month this year for some interesting tidbits from our last 50 years in business.
1. Todd Silverstein's entire family has worked at Ben's including his wife, daughter, son, future son-In-law Jaime, and his late dad Freddie who convinced son Todd to join Ben's. He'd be proud of how his son rose through the ranks to become second in command as the Chief Operating Officer of Ben’s.
2. Gilah Salzano is the Vice President and began working at Ben’s when she was 15, as a busser, with breaks in between to work in banking. She realized she loved the hustle and bustle of working in a restaurant and couldn’t sit behind a desk any longer. 3. The owner of Wheatley Plaza, the late Frank Castagna, wanted Ben’s to open in his shopping center, so he went to Ben’s in Baldwin and spoke with Ronnie and convinced him to open.
